I'm Brittanie from Arizona.
I mostly blog: Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, British television personalities, The Avengers and all things Marvel, self-depreciating witticisms, and food. If you also enjoy these things, let's be friends!

Seems like it's rather an emotional roller coaster for whoever plays Hamlet; Ben will definitely have his work cut out for him (not to mention I think Sherlock starts filming around Aug. 2015 as well, yes?) Just curious, how many performances of Hamlet will Ben be doing next year anyway? Do you know if, like the National, any of his performances will be filmed/videotaped? Thanks!
Sherlock won’t be filming at the same time as he does Hamlet. Benedict is good but he’s not Superman. Imagine learning the pages and pages and pages of dialogue he has as Sherlock, filming all day and then being on stage as Hamlet at night? He’d go mad in a week. They’ll film Sherlock after Hamlet is done. Benedict will be doing 7 performances a week (with the odd exception) for the period from 5 August to 31 October.
I’ve asked the Barbican about whether it will be filmed. The official answer is that nothing is known at the moment.
"Here in the States we’re not up on our Shakespeare," Wowzers, speak for yourself. Hamlet is a favourite and I read plenty of Shakespeare in high school and college. Please don’t perpetuate "uneducated American" stereotypes.@2 weeks ago with 22 notes
